The Homework Learning Center aids teachers by providing a proctor guided facility where while doing homework, students are supervised, encouraged and rewarded. The goals are to teach a culture of successful homework completion thus improving each child's readiness to matriculate to the next grade.
The Homework Learning Center is a place where all students may on a daily basis, come to do proctor supervised homework staffed by a director and volunteers. The centers will be located strategically near local schools. We are located at 3140 Edmonton Drive, Suite 400 Sun Prairie Wisconsin 53590. Our phone number is 608-298-3872
The program director will solicit the support of local school principal, get recommendation of participants, and promote via SCO/PTA and elementary school teachers. The Homework Learning Centers’ website will link to homework assignment postings on each schools website. Once it’s established who will participate, the director will send permission slips to each parent and the program will begin. Each day’s supervised homework completion will earn points toward a quarter-end reward provided by the center.
The students will have a fresh set of caring parents and volunteers working with them to achieve their goals. They will benefit from a sense of community, learn a culture of successful learning and witness a culture of giving back.
